Yes indeed, the Orbiters are nominated for six Washington Blues Society Best of the Blues ("BB") Awards- Best Blues Act, Traditional Blues Act, Recording, Drummer, Bassist, and Songwriter! The winners in each category will be announced at this Awards show which includes performances by BB nominees, including the Orbiters! The awards show is held at the beautiful Kirkland Performance Center. This is a show celebrating Washington's Best of the Blues achievements in over 25 categories. This year will be exciting with a great lineup with 10 different nominated bands: Brian Lee & the Orbiter , Junkyard Jane, The Stacy Jones Band, Alice Stuart, Blues Playground, Black River Blues, Jesse James and the M.O.B. , Boneyard Preachers, Blues on Tap, Alley Katz as well as duo acts with Rafael Tranquilino, Dan O'Bryant and Norris and Nicely.
