Here's more details on Rod and Dan! Rod Cook is known for his stylistic versatility and soulful, melodic playing, and he is an amazing slide guitarist! In the 1980's he played with The Royals, a mainstay in the Seattle blues and rock scene. He then teamed up with singer/songwriter/bassist Laura Love , recording seven albums, two of which were released on Mercury Records, and touring the United States, Canada and Europe. In 1993 he formed the acoustic guitar duo "Double Cookin', with former Steve Miller Band guitarist James "Curley" Cooke. In 1996 he launched his own band, Rod Cook and Toast, a band performing original and cover material based in blues, rock, country, Americana, surf and American roots music, releasing two albums. Since 2004, he has performed with Vicci Martinez, recording three albums. Rod also performs with Northwest icon Little Bill Englehart, and in Snake Oil with Mark Riley. He has backed Taj Mahal, and opened for Todd Rundgren, Sonny Landreth, and Charlie Musslewhite. Rod has been nominated numerous times for the Washington Blues Society's "Best Of The Blues" Awards, winning three times. He is truly a master of the slide guitar!

Dan Tyack is a consummate innovator on the steel guitar, possessing a soulful, inimitable voice which wins over music fans of all genres. He mixes influences from blues, rock and roll, soul, New Orleans R&B, Sacred Steel with a base of the steel guitar tradition. Dan has taken his steel guitar from the Grand Old Opry to Carnegie Hall to Wembley Stadium. He’s performed and recorded with country and country-rock artists such as Asleep at the Wheel, Vince Gill, Charlie Louvin, Jean Shepard, Lacy J. Dalton, Dottie West, Donna Fargo, and Hoyt Axton. Dan has also pushed the steel guitar into blues, R&B, and rock. He has performed and recorded with artists such as Derek Trucks, Sonny Landreth, Steve Gadd, Jerry Marrotta, Tony Levin, Holly Figueroa, Bill Frisell, and many others. His critically acclaimed solo album, “Blackened Toast”, presents a mix of blues and New Orleans roots music and features guest artists Bill Frisell and Paul Franklin. Dan has performed and recorded with many greats of the Sacred Steel style, including Robert Randolph, the Campbell Brothers, the Lee Boys, and Calvin Cook. His Sacred Steel involvement lead to his forming the band “The Unsanctified Gospel Revival”, and the creation of his 2004 CD of the same name. One thing is certain: you will remember his powerful, soulful voice on the sliding steel guitar!
